When you purchase a newer used vehicle, you want the vehicle to be functional and work with your life and your lifestyle. Used cars that are only one to five years old are full of newer, more modern features that can make your life easier, especially if you purchase a higher-end model of slightly used car.
#1 Keyless Entry
When you think about modern car features, keyless entry is at the top of the list. With keyless entry, you are able to turn your car on without even getting the keys out of your pocket or your pursue. Your keys send a signal to the vehicle that unlocks your vehicle as you get close to your vehicle.
Some vehicles even have keyless start, where you don't have to insert the key in the engine to start the vehicle. Instead, the key just has to be in the vehicle and all you have to do is press a button to start your vehicle.
#2 Remote Start
Remote start is different than keyless entry. With remote start, you can start your vehicle up from a distance. This can be really convenient if you live somewhere with cold weather. Being able to start your car from inside of your home and get it warmed up before you leave from the day, or being able to warm up your vehicle before you leave the office can be really nice. Just keep in mind that keyless entry and remote start are two different and distinct features.
#3 Bluetooth Capabilities
Slowly, one after one, states are passing laws banning the use of handheld devices when driving. Handheld devices primarily refer to smart phones, but can also refer to GPS devices as well.
A vehicle that has Bluetooth capabilities will allow you to sync your phone with your car. That means that you can answer the phone and play music from your phone without having to actually touch your phone.
#4 Wi-Fi Hotspot
The next big thing behind Bluetooth capabilities is a Wi-Fi hotspot. Turning your car into a Wi-Fi hot spot can be invaluable. If you carpool with individuals, it can allow your passengers to get work done while you are driving. If you work on the road a lot, instead of having to find a place to stay where you can get Wi-Fi, you can depend on your vehicle to provide you with the Wi-Fi you need.
When looking for features for your next used car, you want features that will make your life easier and more functional, such as keyless entry, remote start, Bluetooth capabilities, and Wi-Fi hotspot capabilities. Buying a vehicle that is only a couple of years old can allow you to save thousands of dollars from the original price of the vehicle, while still enjoying a vehicle that features all of the latest technology. Keep in mind that luxury and sport models of vehicles are more likely to have more advanced tech features, although many of the features above are becoming the norm in standard editions of some vehicles as well.
